Bluebell Railway Days
I have a feeling our Bluebell Railway days are sort of coming to an end. I don’t know, our boy just turned five and he suddenly feels much more grown up. He’s still extremely close to me and his dad but I can also see how he’s more and more confident separating.
We‘ve gone on quite a few Bluebell Railway trips since he was quite little and it always felt like such a big adventure, especially as our boy has always been a big lover of vehicles and machines. We’ve normally taken the train from Horsted Keynes in West Sussex. In the early days, just looking at the train and having some icecream was enough to make his day; as he’s grown, he’s become more and more interested in visiting the museum at the station and learning about the different engines. The Santa Christmas Special over the winter season is quite a special outing as well.
I’m basically writing about this because I’m in a nostalgic mood I think. I want time to stop now. I’m also feeling so grateful we have some many lovely places to visit, play and learn in West Sussex. What a privilege!
